A long-time runner and more recently venturing into trail running, Rhea discovered Pilates five years ago after several successive running injuries made her rethink the way she used and connected with her body. The strength and body awareness she discovered through doing Pilates improved her running and also helped her through her first pregnancy and post-partum. Rhea has been a practising medical practitioner since 2010 and is now working in General Practice. She sees Pilates training as an opportunity to increase her knowledge and understanding of the moving body. Rhea’s aim is to integrate this understanding into her conventional medical practice and help patients and clients achieve improved health. In particular Rhea has an interest in Women’s and Children’s Health and is looking forward to pursuing this area further during her Pilates training.
